<h3>Materials</h3>
<p>1 skein Lily Sugar 'n Cream Cotton Yarn - 3 oz<br />
Crochet Hook Size H (or size that will give correct gauge)<br />
Large eye yarn needle</p>

<h3>Gauge</h3>
<p>1 dc = 1 inch</p>

<h3>Bottom</h3>
<p>Row 1: Ch 4, join last ch to first ch with a slip stitch.<br />
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each of the 9 sts in the loop formed.  Join with sl st to first ch.<br />
Row 3:  Ch 3, dc in joining st, * 2 dc in the next st.  Repeat from * around.  Join with sl st to top of 
the ch 3.<br />
Row 4:  Repeat row 3.<br />
Row 5:  Ch 1, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st.  Repeat from * to the end 
of the row.  End with 3 single crochet.  Join with sl st to the ch 1.</p>

<h3>Body of Tote</h3>
<p>Row 6:  Ch 1, * sc in the next 4 sts, sk the next st, repeat from * to the end of the row. (38 sts)<br />
Row 7:  Ch 5, sk 2 sts, dc in the next st, * ch 2, sk 2 sts, dc in the next st.  Repeat from * to the end 
of the row.  Join with sl st to top of the ch 3.<br />
Row 8:  Sl st to the first opening, ch 3, dc in the same space, * ch 1, 2 dc in the next space.  Repeat 
from * to the end of the row.  Join with sl st to top of the ch 3.<br />
Row 9:  Sl st to the first ch 1, ch 5, dc in the next ch 1, * ch 2, dbl crochet in the next ch 1 sp.  Repeat 
from * to the end of the row.  Join with sl st to third st of the ch 5.<br />
Row 10:  Ch 3, dc in each st to the end of the row.  Join with sl st to top of the ch 3.<br />
Row 11 +:  Repeat rows 7-10 until the total is the height desired to fit your water bottle.<br />
Next 2 rows:  Ch 1, sc in each st in the row.  Join with sl st to the ch 1.</p>

<h3>Handle or Shoulder Strap</h3>
<p>Ch 3, dc in the next 9 sts, turn.<br />
Repeat this row until the handle is the length you want.<br /><br />

Over the arm will be approximately 22 inches.<br /><br />

Over the shoulder will be approximately 40 inches.<br /><br />

Across the body will be approximately 50 inches.</p>

<h3>Finishing</h3>
<p>End the last handle row and break off with a 6 inch tail.  Sew handle to the opposite side of the water tote. <br />
Tie in all loose ends.<br />
